ALL DOGS NEED ROUTINE GROOMING:

ALL DOGS NEED ROUTINE GROOMING:

Bathing and brushing keeps the coat healthy and reduces shedding.

Trimming the nails prevents dogs from hurting themselves with every step, and filing the nails smooth prevents them hurting YOU when they paw at you out of love.

SOME DOGS REQUIRE MORE:

In addition to nail-trimming, most longer-coated dogs require the pads of their paws cleaned up to give them more traction and to prevent tiny uncomfortable mats from forming between their toes (ouch!).

Sanitary trimming keeps the fluffier and longer-coated breeds cleaner longer.

Dogs with floppy ears, and those with hair in the ear canal require regular cleaning and plucking to prevent infections.

Tangled fur happens to the best of us, and can often be teased out without too much effort, however matting occurs when those tangles stay too long untreated, and mix with dirt and other things. Penetrating the mats is not always possible, and is almost always irritating to the dog if not outright painful. I always take care to be as gentle and thorough as possible with mats, but sometimes it is best for all involved to start over with a new coat.

Summer and winter coats are how our dogs deal with the changes in temperature, but it is no fun dealing with the massive shedding that accompanies the transition. I will Furminate your dog and blow out the excess hair to keep you both happy during all seasons.
